Joseph Andrews' obituary in the Cumberland Times read:

ANDREWS 07 Aug 1907
Mr Joseph Andrews of Barton died 10:00 last night after a lingering illness. He was born in Brintsworth, Wiltshire, England on 06 Jun 1827 and was, therefore, past 80 years of age. On 3 Sep 1849, he was married to Elizabeth Jones at Pontey Parish, England, both coming to this country and to Frostburg, remaining 3 months and removing thence to Barton, living here since. Mr Andrews is survived by the following children: Joseph Andrews of Mason City Missouri; James Andrews of Westernport; Mrs Calvin Shockey of McComas WV; and Mrs John W Young, Mrs Peter Wilson, and Mrs EM Lewis of this city; and George W Andrews, WH Andrews, Robert Andrews and Mrs William Summerville of Barton and also 2 sisters, living in Newport City England. Funeral at the ME Church and burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
